What’s Going on Here? A Note on Inconsistency + Blog Updates

Hello friends, it’s been a while.

I originally started this blog as an outlet to discuss trauma and things that were important to me. While I no longer need this blog to talk about the former, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the latter – what is important to me?

I’ve always known that I wanted to help people, and I know that elevating minority voices is a way to bring light to situations of injustice.  As a journalist, I have the power to tell stories in a way that will make people listen, and hopefully, care enough to enact change.

With that in mind, I also feel like I needed to narrow my focus onto something specific, something I truly care about.  I have decided to turn this blog into a platform to discuss feminism, injustice against women and female empowerment.  I wanted to develop this in a means as a multimedia platform – pictures, text, video (the works) so that I can hopefully get a job working for a feminist publication in the future as a reporter/writer/journalist.  I want to use my voice as a woman to help other women.

In the mean time, as I also use this blog for my reporting class, I will still be publishing about gaming.  When that class ends in May, I can broaden my focus and energy into telling the stories about the women around me, as well as write on other feminist issues!

So for now, expect a mixture of the both, but better things are coming.

I’m proud of you for figuring out your path!!! That’s the great thing about the internet: you can reinvent yourself and your platforms as many times as you want.

Thank you!! Authentically representing yourself on social media is a challenge, but I think I finally got it figured out. 💫
